keeping the connection

In this solo performance I explore how one can produce contingency through rhetorical language and movement. Shifting through words, gestures, and contexts my objective is to empty the signs from their meaning in order to emphasize their relation and difference, rather than to interpret them. The rhetoric is purified from the need to communicate a certain agenda and is instead used as a device that enables a different kind of coming together. The audience and the performer become temporary accomplices playing the game of attention, expectation, using the words and gestures to "supplement the glow of one's presence".
